Press Releases Rotary Valve Manufacturer Selects Motox Geared Motors
Dan McCauley, Rotolok’s founder and MD, said the company had changed from its previous supplier about 12 months ago for a variety of reasons, and confirmed that the new units suited Rotolok very well: “Our valves are widely used in industries like sugar, cement, polymers and pharmaceuticals, and we needed strong and reliable geared motors to complement them. We have an excellent reputation, not only in the UK, but also in the American, African and wider European markets, and were looking for keenly priced, high-performing units. The Flender Motox series has everything we need.” Rotolok specifies smaller Motox geared motors (size Z38 and Z48) – in Imperial sizes for its US customers – within its ranges of rotary valves. Dan McCauley also praised efficient deliveries to its base in Tiverton, Devon, as Rotolok buys a ‘significant number’ of geared motors every year. The Rotolok valves come in sizes from 36”/915mm upwards, and up to 3hp. Standard valves have pressure differentials to 20psi and temperatures to 400°C, although the company makes specials to handle temperatures covering 1200°C and pressures up to 350psi.
