Press Releases International Quarrying & Recycling Show Hillhead 2003 Flender Stand 105a-106 - Flender FZG Unit The 'Real McCoy' In Quarrying Industry
Versatility has always been the key to Flender's FZG helical and bevel helical gearboxes. This outstanding range is available in parallel shaft or right angle configuration, with vertical or horizontal mounting, a torque capacity in excess of 850,000 Nm and ratios from 1.25:1 up to 462:1. Used in applications as diverse as cranes, power stations, wind turbines, excavators and materials handling, and found in the world's most formidable environments, the FZG is the ultimate rugged gear unit, combining high power capacity with great reliability. No less than four FZG units were recently specified for the world's highest capacity sizing station, made by Derbyshire based MMD, for use in Goonyella, Australia. All were shaft mounted with shrink discs, and fitted with Neupex flexible input couplings. Two of these assemblies alone each weighed more than 25 tonnes, excluding motors, and all four FZGs were designed to cope with ambient temperatures ranging from minus 10°C to plus 45°C, 24 hours per day.
