Earlier this year Flender appointed Allen Muffett service sales manager for the North, adding to its existing service. Allen joined service sales manager Gary Husband, and the team has already been able to identify and assist owners of numerous Flender gear units in the UK, many of which are on equipment specified by major OEMs and sold worldwide. The benefits of getting such units serviced by the original manufacturer's trained service engineers using genuine parts and setting specifications cannot be matched, and is the most cost effective way of ensuring Flender plant availability. Flender engineers either travel to site or service units at the Bradford factory, and are also able to provide an important diagnostic service, which can prevent downtime altogether.
