Energy Saving Through Retrofitting Flender Gear Units
Flender gear units, geared motors and couplings are found in the world’s most challenging environments and have developed a reputation for outstanding performance and reliability.
Retrofitting Flender Motox geared motors can bring significant energy savings as well as improving operating efficiencies, and this is one of the Mechanical Drives services available on the Siemens Automation & Drives stand at Hillhead.
Flender Motox helical bevel geared motors, with their typical efficiencies of 96%, can provide improvements of up to 28% on helical worm units, and where multiple units are involved, this can represent considerable energy savings.
ATEX-approved and eff1 efficiency-rated gear units are supplied for all types of materials handling applications, for quarrying, mixing and conveying, power generation, construction, water treatment and the food and paper industries.
The impressive service and supply offer includes ATEX-rated units available from stock, and these, along with a comprehensive selection of highly regarded Flender FZG gear units, Motox geared motors, Cavex worm gear units and a range of couplings are on display at Hillhead.
FZG the Powerhouse of the Flender Gear Offer
Versatility has always been the key to Flender FZG helical and bevel helical gearboxes. This outstanding range is available in parallel shaft or right-angle configurations, with vertical or horizontal mounting, a torque capacity in excess of 850,000 Nm, and ratios from 1.25:1up to 462:1. Used in applications as diverse as power stations, wind turbines, excavators and materials handling, and found in the world’s most formidable environments, the FZG is the ultimate rugged gear unit, combining high power capacity with great reliability.
The mobile Flender GearController diagnostic and condition monitoring system is successfully used worldwide by many industries to enable scheduled servicing and plant shutdowns to take place. Ask about it on the Siemens stand.
