Flender Expands Sales Force

Power transmission giant Flender is expanding its UK sales team with the appointment of Phil Rastrick as regional sales manager for the East Midlands.

Phil (39) joins from UK distributor BSL, where over a period of 17 years he worked in sales at many of BSL's branches around the north of England and the Midlands, and latterly ran the company's Leeds gearbox centre. He also spent the last three years selling gearboxes to a number of corporate accounts, including names like Nestle and Bass.

Phil is originally from Chesterfield and graduated from Sheffield with an HNC in mechanical and production engineering. He also spent time as a draughtsman during an apprenticeship with Sheffield based Presto Tools, so is experienced in all aspects of the sales and production process.

Flender revealed in December that it was expanding its service support team due to increased product and service demand in the UK.

Phil is married with two daughters aged 7 and 8 and cites watercolour painting, golf, tennis and gardening amongst his many interests.
